Alcohol can cause vomiting, diarrhoea, decreased coordination, and a depressed central nervous system.
If left untreated it can lead to breathing difficulties, tremors, change the pH of blood, and induce coma or seizures, ultimately resulting in death.
Cats are much more prone to alcohol poisoning than humans.
Suggestions
Alcohol should never be offered to any pet.
Be cautious of household items containing alcohol, such as raw yeast for baking bread, rotting/fermenting fruit, and alcohol hand gels and rubs.
If your cat consumes alcohol, seek veterinary assistance immediately.
